Theresa Bonnette of Afton died peacefully at home on March 8, 2010.
She was born Dec. 8, 1925, the daughter of Leo and Ellen (Walsh) Briol. Theresa graduated from Melrose High School. In 1953, she was united in marriage with Gerald Stanley Bonnette.
Theresa was a sculptor and a teacher who enjoyed children, nature and politics. She supported MCCL and the pro-life movement. Theresa will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; brother, John Briol; sister, Leonella (Burt) Mulville; sister-in-law, Marcella Briol; brothers-in-law, Harold Nelson and Charles Templin.
She is the beloved mother of Gerard (Joni), Anna (Magnus) Kugler, Joseph (Imelda), Andrew (Josie), Sarah, Michael (Teja); also survived by 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Mary Ellen Nelson, Margie (Jerry) Gartner, Edward (Mary) Briol, Anna Templin; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 12, with gathering beginning at 9 a.m. at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 8694 80th St. S., Cottage Grove.
