Derek J. Solberg died suddenly at age 36. Preceded in death by his grandparents Howard (Dorothy) Johnson, C.O. (Emily) Solberg; and aunt Barbara Johnson. Survived by his parents Carl and Diane Solberg; brothers Christopher, Benjamin (Michelle); godparents Jim and Sue Kenney; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends. Visitation 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday August 26, 2009, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 920 Holley Ave., St. Paul Park, Minn., and also one hour prior to mass at the church. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
