Viewpoint: File for refund or you might be too late

Filing tax forms may be the furthest thing from the minds of most people in the middle of summer, but I encourage both homeowners and renters to check on their eligibility and apply for Minnesota’s property tax refund program and the special property tax refund program by the Aug. 15 deadline.
