City approves new development

A new office and retail building could soon be going up in Newport. The City Council approved Steve Linn and The Linn Company’s request to develop properties at 798 Glen Road and 1572 Hastings Avenue — the old Blackhawk Motel site and the house that is located behind it — at its meeting March 15.
