Split Cottage Grove City Council says it opposes voter ID amendment

Calling it an unfunded mandate, the Cottage Grove City Council tackled a divisive state issue Wednesday, voting 4-1 to pass a resolution opposing a proposed state constitutional amendment that would require voters to show photo identification at the polls.
