Voter ID ballot measure spotlight moves to Senate

Representatives voted 72-62 along party lines at 2:14 a.m. Wednesday, after more than eight hours of debate, to amend the state Constitution to require a voter photo ID. Reps. John Kriesel of Cottage Grove and Denny McNamara of Hastings backed the measure.
