Holocaust survivor to share her story at East Ridge

No matter how often Anita Dittman talks about her Holocaust days, she breaks down in tears every time she shares the story. As a little girl, she was told she had a wonderful future as a ballerina. She came from a wealthy family, lived in a nice, suburban home with her parents and sister. “Then Adolf Hitler came to power and things began to change,” she said. She was tortured, sexually harassed, starved and forced to work for the Nazis. The 84-year-old Brainerd woman will visit East Ridge High School Monday night to share her inspiring story that fills a book titled “Trapped in Hitler’s Hell.”
