Youth basketball: Cottage Grove 5A makes history

The Cottage Grove Athletic Association 5A girls traveling basketball team concluded its winter season No. 2 in the state at the highest level of competition with a second-place finish at the 5AAAA Minnesota Youth Athletic Services Grade State championship tournament, held in Cottage Grove March 5 and 6. No other CGAA girls team has ever reached the finals in the highest division.
