Wow, I didn't know Jason Lewis posted here. I could swear that's his shtick, word-for-word. So, why is that someone so anti-government wants to become part of it? Are we to expect that you will not draw the salary of a councilperson should you be elected, Tom?

Economics 101: The government cannot create jobs. Everyone would be employed if they could. All they can do is take money from the productive class and redistribute it to who they chose. When used for non-wasteful things like roads, etc., the reinvestment of that taxed capital actually increases productivity and pays for itself in the economy. Sadly, most of the money is wasted and the government becomes a bloated charity. This is something it was never meant to be, nor can it be.
