Stephen is probably happy that 16,000 federal jobs will be created in the IRS to monitor Obamacare...and additional federal jobs will be created in the Federal Insurance Division after the government bankrupts the private insurance industry. Tom, the Obama Administration can create jobs (not private sector...but)...it is called socialism. Stay the course.

There are still major economic problems at all levels of government. Neither main political party is offering real plans to try and fix the problem because most real solutions (combinations of severe cutbacks in services AND massive tax hikes) would require actions that are political suicide. So, we continue to kick the can down the road and muddle along with half-measures.

I didn't make any attack. I refuted an opinion of his. Don't be so quick to judge a comment as an "attack" when none are made, patches. And where I pay taxes is not relevant in weighing my opinion on this subject, or any other.

I thought I asked a legitimate question. I guess the answer is that a public salary would be drawn, in the name of cutting services for others.

I'll be first in line to give Tom credit on the day he's right about something. When should we schedule such an event? OH by the way, Tom, gays don't choose to be gay. You, personally, just choose to not be by suppressing your homosexual tendencies. (your words, not mine) Keep that in mind.

Well folks we have to give Tom credit when he's right. Most roads are non-wasteful. What is productive class? I assume that to be code talk for a certain "type" of tax payer. Chris I think there are plenty of things to pick on folks at Fox, CNN and the others for the quality of their work. I accept they are selling a style of the news and not the “news.” It certainly would have been a more factual statement for Hannity to say intelligence tells us there are WMD’s in Iraq. It seems most people mentally associate WMD to missiles. But hypothetically speaking, all of Iraq’s WMD could fit on your kitchen table in the form of a powder, which could be distributed by many means, such as the delivery done from the air as he did to his own people. It would be very easy to move them to a neighboring ally of theirs before troops arrived. I believe they were there, however they clearly weren’t there when the Bush administration would have liked them to be. I accept the war that ensued as part of that intelligence is another discussion and you and I may agree on that issue as a whole. Chris, thank you for and keep up the good work on the video discussion with Tom. You keep your composure well.

What cracks me up is how you fail to LISTEN, Tom. You are perfectly happy to hit and run, with no stomach for any sort of criticism or real debate that might just interfere with your preconceived notions. I have been telling you that on this site for over a year. You won't listen to anything other than what you want to hear. Maybe that's why it seems fruitless to even try to point out how off base you are on so many things. You cry "personal attacks", but you want to be a public figure and have no problem posting liberally on a variety of websites (most extremely right wing and anti-government) in which people should expect fervent disagreement on occassion. Yet, you want to be involved in city government. Tom, the bottom line is you and people like you scare me. But when I'm scared, I fight back. So do others. Get used to it.

Apparently, even the people at FOX News can't stand Glenn Beck. Read the "Media News" in today's Washington Post. Most of the "real" reporters at FOX are upset because Beck is ruining their image as a real news outlet. I still remember in 2003 when Sean Hannity sat with a stone face and said "don't democrats get it, we KNOW there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. We know it." It must be nice to be considered a legitimate entertainer. If Rush Limbaugh can't stand you (he has come out and bashed Beck) as a news commentator, then who can? He's the mouth behind the Tea Party movement as well. They have kicked Ron Paul out on his backside as the "voice of reason" and have moved Glenn Beck into the driver's seat. God help us, I think the next couple of years won't be pretty if this movement takes hold. They have encouraged officers to disobey the laws, taken up arsenals...it's ugly.

Stephen, you almost nailed it. It's more like Jason Lewis and Glenn Beck combined, with a helping of Michelle Bachmann on the side.
