Anyone read the wretchedly done article in the Pioneer Press? I really hope the quote by the city administrator is a misrepresentation of what he actually said. What is going on up there?! Maybe we need to “march on city hall!” This is getting ridiculous!

This article isn't entirely accurate. You wrote "the move prevents 3M from accepting compensation to burn wastes produced by sources other than 3M facilities." The understanding I got from watching the council meeting is that "commercial incinerator" has yet to be defined so it will likely be broader than "accepting compensation" for the waste.

Any amount of hazardous waste is worse than none, which means any amount more than what they are currently burning is also bad from where I sit. I hope the council and city hall crew get their act together to put an end to this nonsense. When did 3M start running this city? Cottage Grove is over 30,000 strong. I would guess most feel like me when it comes to being pushed around and minimized by 3M or any other big business. No means no!
