Newport Lutheran celebrates anniversary

The congregation at Newport Lutheran Church will begin the celebration of its 75th anniversary with a cake and coffee reception at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 17, to be followed with a larger event Sunday, May 19. Friends and neighbors are invited to attend. According to parishioner Dorothy Witzel, the church was organized on March 17, 1938, with 13 charter member families.
