Grand opening gala of Merrill Community Arts Center

The grand opening celebration of the Merrill Community Arts Center, , “Heart of the Arts,” will take place at two locations on Friday, Feb. 22. The festivities will begin at the new Black Box Theatre at East Ridge High School, in Woodbury, with hors d’oeuvres, silent auction and raffle from 6-8 p.m. followed by a feature performance from 8-9 p.m. The festivities will continue from 9:30-11:30 p.m. at the Merrill Community Arts Center, 380 Rivertown Drive, Suite 200, in Woodbury, where there will be an open beer and wine bar, drawings and tours of the facility. Festive attire is encouraged at both locations. Tickets are $45 per person for adults and seniors and $25 per student, elementary through college. The price includes all food and drink at East Ridge and all wine and beer at Rivertown. Festive attire is encouraged at both locations. To purchase tickets, visit www.woodburycommunitytheatre.org. All funds raised at the grand opening will be used to purchase fixtures and equipment needed to complete the Black Box Theater.
