Elder Friends 2Gether, a free ecumenical program for seniors that continues the tradition of the Elder Friends program, will celebrate its grand re-opening from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2125 Tower Drive, in Woodbury. “The new name is merely a reflection of what lives at the heart of our program, and that is the genuine, meaningful way in which our program brings people together,” said Joe Pendal, program coordinator. All south Washington County seniors and all who care about seniors are invited. Admission is free; the public is invited. Part of the celebration will include an adaptation of the old TV game show, “The Dating Game.” The new program will also include a senior-friendly exercise period, an ecumenical devotional led by a local minister, and lunch. All attendees must bring their own bag lunch, coffee and water will be provided. In addition, attendees must be independent in terms of bathroom needs and taking medication.
