Engaged: Swenson-Dippel

Doug and Evie Swenson of Santa Maria, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie, to Thomas Dippel, son of Kyle and Betsy Dippel of Cottage Grove. An early June wedding is planned at Eagan Hills Alliance Church, with a reception on the riverboat, The Grand Duchess, out of Hudson, Wis.

Carrie graduated from San Diego Christian College in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in history. She grew up in southern Minnesota and served as a missionary to Haiti. Carrie works at Lifts Kids Foundation, Minneapolis.

Tom is a 2000 graduate of Park High School and is a dental lab technician at Mississippi Dental Lab in South St. Paul

The couple plans to live in Cottage Grove.
