Families and individuals are invited to walk at their own pace through 10 Stations of the Cross set up throughout Crossroads Church on Friday, March 21.
Each station will invite participants to prayerfully and imaginatively interact with the final events of Jesus’ crucifixion day. Stations will be available from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Crossroads Church is located at the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 80th Street, in Cottage Grove. Easter worship services will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday and at 9 and 11 a.m. on Sunday at Park High School. For details, call the church office at (651) 459-7111 or go to www.crossroadschurch.cc.
New Life Church of Woodbury
‘Crown Him’ musical drama for Easter
“Crown Him,” an Easter musical drama will be presented by New Life Church of Woodbury at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 20 to 22.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children, 12 and younger. The drama is not appropriate for children, age 5 and younger, according to the press release. Tickets can be ordered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at (651) 459-0444; after hours, go to extension seven.

Community-wide Easter egg hunt
St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Cottage Grove, is hosting its 11th annual Awesome Egg Hunt, beginning at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22. Everyone is invited to the free event.

Easter for kids
An Easter for Kids program is scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, corner of 90th Street and County Highway 19, Cottage Grove.
Children will learn Bible stories, make a craft, play games, sing songs, have a snack and take part in an Easter egg hunt.
Everything is free and open to the public. Activities are planned for children, ages 3 to 11. Preregistration is preferred but not necessary. For details, call the church office at (651) 459-7597.
All Saints Lutheran
“Holy Week at All Saints is an opportunity for you to slow down and prepare for Easter,” said senior pastor Jules Erickson. All are welcome to participate.
The schedule includes a Maundy Thursday service at 6:46 p.m. March 20; Good Friday service at 6:46 p.m. March 21; and an Easter sunrise service, Sunday, March 23 at 6:30 a.m.
The sunrise service will be followed by breakfast and worship services at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. Between services, there will be an Easter egg hunt hosted by the Easter bunny from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.

Family Lent event
“Journey to Easter,” a family event for Lent, will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 21, a no-school day, at Woodbury United Methodist Church, 7465 Steepleview Road.
Children, 4 years old through third grade, will make a craft, share a snack and hunt for Easter eggs as they hear the story of Jesus’ life from Palm Sunday and Easter. A $3 donation is suggested along with a canned food item for the food shelf.

A Maundy Thursday worship service will be held at 7 p.m. at Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church, 8600 90th Street, Cottage Grove.
In keeping with the recent vote by the two Methodist congregations to merge, Good Friday worship is schduled at 7:30 p.m. at Woodbury United Methodist Church, 7465 Steepleview Road.
On Easter Sunday, March 23, the morning will begin with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. at Peaceful Grove followed by worship at 9:30 a.m. and an egg hunt for children at 10:45 a.m.

Holy Week schedule
Maundy Thursday worship services with communion will take place at 4 and 7 p.m. March 20, at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 1000 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park.
On Good Friday, March 21, worship services with communion are scheduled at 4 and 7 p.m. and on Easter Sunday, March 23, the sunrise song service will be held at 6:30 a.m., traditional services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. with breakfast at 9 a.m.

Youth will serve
Youth at Woodbury Lutheran Church will serve breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday, March 23, at the church, 7380 Afton Road, off of Valley Creek across from Target.
Proceeds from the breakfast will help provide scholarships for summer mission trips to Matoon, Ill.; Rapid City, S.D.; and Mexico. It will also support local youth service projects.
Easter Sunday services will begin with a youth-led program at 6 a.m., followed by worship at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary, with Genesis contemporary services at 9:30 and 10:50 a.m.

n Maundy Thursday, March 20 — Worship service with communion will take place at 7 p.m.
n Good Friday, March 21 — A Tenebrae Service of Shadows — the passion story told through drama and music — is scheduled at 7 p.m.
n Easter Sunday, March 23 — A sunrise service with communion will take place at 7 a.m. with celebration worship at 9 a.m. The JC Rock Praise Band will perform at both services.
n First Sunday after Easter, March 30 — An Easter Choral Cantata will be sung at worship at 10:15 a.m.

‘One Voice’ set Friday, Saturday
A 40-member cast from Light the Way Church, Cottage Grove, will present “One Voice,” an Easter musical, for one more weekend.
Admission is free, but tickets must be reserved for performances, which are scheduled at:
n 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 21; and
n 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22.
“It’s a very emotional presentation,” said Light the Way pastor John Magee. Because of the intensity of the crucifixion scene, he cautions parents against bringing children, 10 or younger, to a performance.

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church
Original art exhibit, sale to benefit church
The original watercolors of Jim Wallace, Prescott, Wis., will be displayed from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, March 29 through 30, April 5 through 6 and 12 through 13 at St. Mary’s Church-Basswood Grove, 8435 St. Croix Trail, Denmark Township.
All the works in the exhibit will be available for purchase and a percentage of the artist’s fee will be donated to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. Information about purchasing the art and a price list will be available at the exhibition. The money raised by this event will be donated to church projects.
Wallace’s watercolors “convey a lovely passion for the varied landscapes of rural Minnesota and Wisconsin,” according to the press release.
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is located about 1.5 miles south of Afton State Park, and six miles north of Hwy. 10, on St. Croix Trail.
