On Jan. 7 our 87-year-old mother fell and hurt her head. She could not reach a phone. She managed to crawl to the door and open it. She sat bleeding profusely for three hours until her mailman came. She yelled help and her angel Greg Spencer from the Cottage Grove branch came to help her. He called 911 and my sister and proceeded to give my mother a towel for her head and gave her comfort until the paramedics arrived.

We would like to publicly thank this angel for saving our mother’s life. He went above and beyond. We are so thankful and blessed to have such a compassionate and wonderful mail carrier. When we returned from the hospital three days later, he came to talk to her and see how she was. We would also like to thank her neighbors who are also paramedics for coming over so quickly to check her out.
