Students, staff and local dignitaries will ride stationary bicycles for 25-minute shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Feb. 11-14. Their goal this year is to ride more than 1,000 miles and raise $7,000 in donations.
“We hope that our students learn about helping kids who are going through a tough time, and learn about being fit and healthy themselves,” said Dale Wolpers, assistant principal at the junior high school.
Not only will students be riding, some classes are making teddy bears and puppets for children at the children’s hospital. The school’s WCTV studio is filming public service announcements.
Each person who rides will earn a “Tour de Grove” T-shirt. For details, call the school at (651) 768-6801.
