The East Ridge boys basketball team looks to right the ship in the final week of the regular season after losing its last three games.
Last week, East Ridge lost 74-63 to 10th-ranked Roseville at home and 75-57 to Cretin-Derham Hall on the road in St. Paul in a pair of Suburban East Conference contests.
Roseville (19-5; 13-3 SEC) opened up a 46-22 lead at the half on the Raptors, before East Ridge responded. The Raptors (17-7; 10-6 SEC) outscored the Raiders 41-28 in the second half, but it was too little, too late.
East Ridge junior guard Jake Knupp led all scorers in the game with 23 points. Senior center Conrad Sexe and junior forward Brian Ishola each netted 14 points for the Raptors. Jordan Burich led Roseville with 16 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks.
After handling Cretin-Derham Hall earlier this year, East Ridge struggled all night long against the Raiders last week. Cretin-Derham Hall (12-12; 8-8 SEC) took a 33-21 lead at the half, then outscored the Raptors 42-36 in the second half to hang on to the win.
Sexe had a team-high 14 points in the loss, while Brad Simonson chipped in 10 points.
East Ridge took on Stillwater on Tuesday, after the Bulletin went to print. Next, East Ridge plays host to intra-district rival Park (3-20; 1-15 SEC) on Friday, March 1, at East Ridge in the regular-season finale.
