East Ridge junior Nate Roese set a new Hamline Elite Meet record in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 48.72 seconds. The old record of 48.79 was set in 2007 by Quinn Evans of Mounds View. Roese’s time was the fastest recorded in the state so far this year.

Roese, a junior, set a new Hamline Elite Meet record last Friday in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 48.72 seconds. The old record of 48.79 was set in 2007 by Quinn Evans of Mounds View. Roese’s time was the fastest recorded in the state so far this year and only a hair off of last year’s state championship time of 48.56. Roese finished second in the state last year in the 400 with a time of 49.07.
