The New Life Academy volleyball team will be one of the top teams in the Section 4A tournament after it earned the fourth seed in the 20-team section.

“This high seed is a major accomplishment by a team that has had great effort,” New Life head coach Wally Bomgren said. “Not only did we lose our two senior middle hitters, one who moved to Las Vegas and another to an injury, but we started three eighth graders all season. All these players stepped up, and have put in a consistent season of work”

The Eagles (14-10) earned a first-round bye and host either 13-seed Maranatha Christian or 20-seed Prairie Seeds Academy on Wednesday, Oct. 26. A win on Wednesday would earn New Life a semifinal game on Friday, Oct. 28, against the winner of No. 5 seed Lester Prairie and No. 12 seed Bethany Academy, at New Life Academy.
