East Ridge gymnastics: Raptors score season-high 135.5, beat Bears

The East Ridge gymnastics team scored a season-high 135.5 score in a Suburban East Conference win at White Bear Lake on Thursday, Dec. 16. White Bear Lake had a 130.25 score.
In the win, Leah Robinette had the Raptors’ high score in the all-around with a 35.825 that included Raptors’ high scores in the vault, on the bars, on the beam and in the floor exercise. Robinette, a junior, scored a 9.225 in the vault, a 9.05 on the bars, an 8.4 on the beam and a 9.15 in the floor. East Ridge freshman Keliana Thompson had a 9.1 in the vault, an 8.75 on the bars, a 7.6 on the beam and an 8.225 in the floor exercise to score a 33.675 in the all-around. Additionally, Megan Trolen had the Raptors’ second-best score in the floor exercise with an 8.65 and was third on the Raptors with an 8.4 on the bars and in the all-around with a 33.1. Also, senior Stephanie Luebee had East Ridge’s fourth-best score in the vault with an 8.7 and Elizabeth Lawrence had the Raptors’ third-best score in the floor exercise with an 8.475. Next, East Ridge takes on District 833 foe Park at Park on Thursday, Jan. 6.
