Cottage Grove police reports for March 11: Drugs, burglary, disorderly

Drugs
An 18-year-old Cottage Grove male student at the District 833 Alternative Learning Center was cited Feb. 26 for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Burglary
Police were called Feb. 28 to a home in the 9800 block of Miller Road. A caretaker said someone broke into the home and stole eight guns and a BB gun. The guns were worth a total of $2,500.
A Cottage Grove woman reported Feb. 28 that someone went into her garage in the 8900 block of Greystone Avenue and stole a radio and car battery. There was no sign of forced entry into the garage. Loss: $225.
A Cottage Grove resident reported March 4 that someone had forcibly entered a home in the 9100 block of 79th Street. The door from the garage do the house was damaged but nothing was reported stolen. The incident is under investigation.
Disorderly
A Cottage Grove girl and a Red Wing girl, both 13, were cited for disorderly conduct for fighting in a parking lot in the 7800 block of Hearthside Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. March 5.
