The season has come to an end for the East Ridge girls basketball team as the Raptors fell in the first round of the Section 3AAAA tournament to Eagan 53-33 on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
It was a heartbreaking loss, considering the No. 5 seeded Raptors led 22-17 at halftime, but No. 4 seed Eagan (13-13; 7-11 in South Suburban play) was able to dominate East Ridge in the second half.
Senior guard Bryn Parsons finished with a game-high 23 points leading Eagan, while junior forward Kelli Wickard finished with 12 points.
Junior forward Jamie Swanson finished with 14 points, connecting on two 3-pointers, to lead the Raptors (12-14; 5-13 in Suburban East Conference play).
The 12 wins this season was a school-record for the Raptors and, individually, Swanson finished with 79 3-pointers on the season, ranking third in the state. She averaged a team-high 16.4 points per game. Senior guard Hannah Pignato was second on the team with 9.5 points per game.
The Raptors finished in seventh place in the conference. Roseville (24-2; 17-1) won the conference.
