The Park boys basketball team couldn’t rebound from a loss to the conference’s second-ranked team and finished last week winless.

Taking on Roseville on Tuesday, Feb. 12, Park fell behind 50-14 in the first half before the Raiders rolled to a 76-35 victory. Roseville ended the week at second in the Suburban East Conference.

Junior Ryan Klika led Park in scoring with 13 points against Roseville (17-5; 11-3 SEC). Anthony Tola added 8 points.

The Wolfpack (3-17; 1-13 SEC) ran into a similar first-half predicament in its 71-44 road loss to Cretin-Derham Hall on Friday, Feb. 15. The Raiders jumped out to a 40-17 halftime lead. Park outscored Cretin in the second half 31-27 but fell short far short of downing the Raiders.

Park’s Anthony Juba and Cretin’s Joe Rosga each scored 13 points to lead their respective teams in the SEC game. Klika added 11 for the Wolfpack, who saw scoring from eight players.

Park took on Mounds View (11-11; 6-8 SEC) at home on Tuesday night, after the Bulletin went to press. The Wolfpack stay home to host White Bear Lake at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22.
