Park junior Evan Bonneson finished in ninth place at the Section 1 Championship meet to earn a trip to his first state meet.
Last week, Evan Bonneson did something no other Park skier has done since 2009 – make the state meet.
Bonneson, a junior, finished in ninth place at the Section 1 Championship meet to earn a trip to his first state meet. Bonneson finished the pursuit-style race in a time of 32 minutes, 52 seconds on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Valleywood Golf Course in Apple Valley. Sitting in 13th place after the classic, Bonneson had the fifth-best freestyle performance, with a time of 14:59, to earn a trip to state.
