Cottage Grove launches online survey asking residents about local retail, business offerings

Cottage Grove city officials want to know what local shoppers want.

The city has launched an online survey asking residents to share what businesses, shops or restaurants they would like to see in Cottage Grove. It’s part of the city’s economic development efforts.

The nine-question survey asks residents how often they shop in town, what types of retail stores and businesses they think would do well in Cottage Grove and how they think the city can spread a message to residents that shopping locally will make the area more attractive to more businesses.

The survey is available on the city’s website at www.cottage-grove.org and on its Facebook page. It is open through April 30.
