A St. Paul woman was ticketed for prostitution at a Cottage Grove hotel.
A police officer on patrol the night of Jan. 13 noticed a vehicle on multiple occasions in parking lots near East Point Douglas Road and 80th Street. The male driver at one point was joined in the car by a female, according to the report.
The officer stopped the vehicle and cited the driver, a 40-year-old Brooklyn Center man, for having no insurance on the vehicle.
Police learned the man was in the Cottage Grove area for prostitution, and had been in a room at the Wakota Inn and Suites, 7125 80th St., with the 23-year-old St. Paul woman who police had seen in his vehicle.
The woman was subsequently cited for prostitution, a misdemeanor.
