Park girls hockey: Wolfpack suffer lopsided losses to Cretin, Stillwater

Anna Keys had two goals and an assist Thursday in a 7-3 loss to Cretin-Derham Hall Thursday in St. Paul.
Mary Turitto added a goal for the Wolfpack (2-7-1, 0-5-1) in the loss.
After Keys gave Park a 1-0 lead, the Raiders stormed back to score the next three goals to take a 3-1 lead. Keys cut it to 3-2 in the second but Cretin-Derham Hall added two more goals in the period for a 5-2 lead.
The Raiders made it 6-2 with Cassidy Gobran’s goal and Turitto cut it to 6-3 before Cretin-Derham Hall got the game’s last tally.
Caitlin Tate made 17 stops in goal for the Wolfpack, which last won Dec. 6 against South St. Paul when they won 3-2 in South St. Paul.
Park dropped its third consecutive game Saturday in an 8-2 loss to Stillwater at Cottage Grove Ice Arena as the Ponies used a four-goal first period for a blowout victory.
The Wolfpack rallied temporarily in the second period with goals from Monica Martineau and Maddy Jeske to make it a 4-2 game but Stillwater added four more goals from that point.
Ali Biagini had two goals for the Ponies, who had 41 shots on goal. Seven different players scored in the victory.
Park finished with 20 shots on goal and goalie Caitlin Tate made 33 saves. The Wolfpack faces Woodbury Tuesday at Cottage Grove Ice Arena.
