Parking pinch: Tickets being issued for Cottage Grove street parking ban
More than two months after the city of Cottage Grove’s winter street parking ban went into effect, police are beginning to issue tickets.
The weeks of warnings have passed.
More than two months after the city of Cottage Grove’s winter street parking ban went into effect, police are beginning to issue tickets.
As many as 26 people received a parking ticket within a two-hour time frame early Thursday as police begin enforcing the city’s ban on street parking between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. The policy is in effect Oct. 1 to April 30.
For the first several weeks of the parking ban, police generally issue verbal and written warnings before writing tickets.
