After student suicides, Hastings residents encouraged to turn on porch lights at 6 p.m. Thursday

An effort has been organized by a Hastings resident to show support for recent tragic events in Hastings. Nick Werner has started a Hastings Porch Light Support event. He is asking residents to turn their porch lights on at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
"Let's start November off on a new start," he wrote on a Facebook page for the event. "Show your neighborhood that you care, you are there for the support a person/student may need to move on and get a new start on!"
The Facebook page can be found by searching for Hastings Porch Light Support.
