A 27-year-old St. Paul man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process after police found two men fighting at 2:20 a.m. Sept. 24 in the 300 block of Broadway Avenue. The suspect, Paul J. Weatherspoon, was transported to Washington County jail, where police learned he had five outstanding Washington County warrants.
Police were called after 4 a.m. Oct. 6 to a parking lot in the 300 block of Pullman Avenue on a report of a fight. Two men were fighting but became defensive when police asked questions about what was happening. The men had been drinking, according to the report. The men left the scene, and no citations were issued.
A St. Louis Park man reported Sept. 24 that someone stole a spool of fishing line and four packages of ice fishing lures from his truck while it was parked at Fifth Street and 11th Avenue. Loss: $20.
A 24-year-old St. Paul Park man was arrested on suspicion of fifth-degree assault and interfering with a 911 call after the man’s father said he attacked him, punched him and shoved him during an altercation Sept. 24 in the 900 block of Selby Avenue.
A 12-year-old Cottage Grove girl was cited for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct after she was involved in a fight with a 12-year-old Newport girl at Oltman Middle School on Sept. 26.
A St. Paul Park woman reported Oct. 27 that a burglary occurred at her home in the 1000 block of Gary Drive. A window was smashed and items were taken from inside, including a digital camera.
A St. Paul Park woman reported Sept. 28 that someone entered her home in the 1200 block of Summit Avenue and stole a small dish full of pocket change and then on the same night someone stole a small amount of change from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway.
A St. Paul Park man reported Oct. 2 that someone smashed a large entertainment center on the street in front of his house in the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue.
A St. Paul man reported Oct. 6 that the driver of another vehicle confronted him in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue, complained about his driving and threatened to kill him. The suspect fled and police could not locate the vehicle.
