The Park boys soccer team snapped a six-game losing streak last week with a 2-0 win over Hastings on Thursday at Wolfpack Stadium.
Park is now 5-8 overall and 3-4 in the Suburban East Conference.
The two goals was the best offensive output by the Wolfpack since a 2-0 win over Woodbury back on Sept. 6. Over its six-game losing streak Park scored only two goals total and was shutout four times.
Senior Cody Newton and sophomore Noah Ijomah scored Park’s goals in the win over the Raiders (2-11; 0-7 SEC). Senior Nick Hajovy, who leads Park in scoring with six points, had an assist.
Prior to beating Hastings, Park fell 1-0 to White Bear Lake (3-10; 2-5 SEC) on Tuesday for its sixth-straight loss.
Park traveled to Mounds View (9-2; 6-1 SEC) on Tuesday, after the Bulletin went to press. Next, the Wolfpack finishes off the regular season with a home game against rival East Ridge (7-4-1; 3-4 SEC) on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m.
