League of Women Voters plans Cottage Grove, Newport, legislative candidate forums
The League of Women Voters of Woodbury/Cottage Grove will hold two public candidate forums, one including Newport candidates on Sept. 25, the other featuring Cottage Grove and legislative candidates Oct. 2.
The League of Women Voters of Woodbury/Cottage Grove will hold two public candidate forums.
The public is encouraged to attend and to submit written questions for the candidates. The forums will be aired live on the local government access channel and will be rebroadcast before the elections are held.
- 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the Woodbury City Hall Council Chambers, 8301 Valley Creek Road—Candidates for Washington County commissioner in Districts 2 and 5 will present positions and answer questions.
An open forum at 8:15 p.m. will be held for the candidates for Newport mayor and Newport City Council.
- 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Cottage Grove City Hall, 7516 80th St. S.—Forums for Senate District 54 and House Districts 54A and 54B and for Cottage Grove mayor and City Council are scheduled.
