Cottage Grove man sentenced for meth possession
A Cottage Grove man was sentenced to probation for possessing methamphetamine.
A Cottage Grove man was sentenced to probation for possessing methamphetamine.
Troy E. Jelinek, 31, was ordered Aug. 24 to complete five years of probation and fulfill other conditions after pleading guilty to fifth-degree methamphetamine possession.
According to Washington County District Court records, Jelinek was at a home in Stillwater on April 12, 2012, when police were called there because of his outstanding warrant. Police found Jelinek in possession of a clear container that contained 0.7 grams of methamphetamine. He was arrested on an outstanding Dakota County warrant and then charged with possessing methamphetamine, a felony.
