Woodbury jumped all over the East Ridge boys soccer team Wednesday in the first half and ran away with a 4-0 Suburban East Conference victory at East Ridge High School.
The Royals (2-2, 1-0 SEC) went up 3-0 in the first half and added another goal in the second half. For Woodbury, Bobby Kostadinov scored twice while Cole Bruessihof and Nick Sheak added goals.
“It was just some early-season breakdowns as to why we didn’t execute the game plan,” Raptors first-year head coach Anthony Bidwell said.
East Ridge (1-1-1, 0-1 SEC) missed on a penalty kick in the second half and Woodbury kept the shutout intact.
The Raptors faced non-conference foe Chaska Tuesday in Chaska. Next, the team will be in Forest Lake to take on the Rangers in an SEC game on Thursday.
