St. Paul Park police were called shortly after midnight July 23 to Summit Avenue and Highway 61 for a reported fist fight.
Officers talked to a cab driver from St. Paul Park who said his passenger assaulted him after he asked the man to get out of the car following his refusal to tell the cab driver where he lived, according to a police report.
The Cottage Grove man was cited for fifth-degree assault and transported to a detox facility. The report did not make clear how the driver was assaulted.
