Volunteers, donors made Night to Unite successful
Thanks to all of the volunteers who made Minnesota Night to Unite on Aug. 17 at Newport Lutheran Church such a success. Thanks also to the Newport Police and Fire Departments, Boy Scout Troop 15 and Girl Scout Troop 51179.
A very special thanks to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, SuperMom’s and Cub Foods for their financial support and donations that made this event possible and free for the community. Many other volunteers including those from Newport Lutheran Church came and offered their help and assistance. Thanks to all of you also. What a wonderful event to meet and greet neighbors and share a pleasant, relaxing, safe evening together.

Appreciative of election bid
I am very appreciative to my constituents in Pine Springs, Willernie, Birchwood, White Bear Lake, Mahtomedi, Oakdale, Landfall and Woodbury for allowing me to advance to the Nov. 6 general election.
It is an honor to serve on the Washington County Board of Commissioners. I am humbled by your confidence in me to continue to lead our great county.
Competition is good. I want to thank Joe Delaney for running a positive, issue-oriented campaign. I will continue to work hard to earn the support of the voters who supported him.
