Washington County Commissioner Pulkrabek topped by former Oakdale mayor in primary; both advance

The battle between two former Oakdale mayors ended its first round Tuesday with Ted Bearth securing more than twice as many votes as the incumbent in the primary race for Washington County Board’s District 2.

The battle between two former Oakdale mayors ended its first round Tuesday with Ted Bearth securing more than twice as many votes as the incumbent in the primary race for Washington County Board’s District 2.

Bearth topped Commissioner Bill Pulkrabek in voting, 1,420-703, according to unofficial results from the Secretary of State’s Office. Joseph Delaney Sr. finished the three-way race in last place, drawing 417 votes.

The results push Bearth and Pulkrabek through to the general election.

Bearth is a former mayor and City Council member for the city of Oakdale. Pulkrabek is also a former Oakdale mayor.
