Notice of Public Hearing
APPLICANT: Wal-Mart Real Estate Business Trust, c/o MFRA, Inc.
REQUEST: Rezone the property at 9338 E. Pt. Douglas Rd. from R-4, Low Density Residential, to B-2, Retail Business; preliminary and final plats to create one 23.55-acre commercial lot; a site plan review of a 177,808 square foot retail store; and conditional use permits to allow a drive-through pharmacy window and recycling collection point/exterior storage.
WHEN: Monday, August 27, 2012, starting at 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Council Chambers at Cottage Grove City Hall, 7516 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN
The Planning Commission will continue the public hearing on these applications. The purpose of the hearing is to provide citizens the opportunity to comment on the proposed applications. Persons interested in speaking will be heard at this public hearing. If you are unable to attend the hearing but would like to provide input, you are encouraged to submit written comments.
The following points of discussion were raised at the Planning Commission meeting and public hearing held on July 23, 2012 and will be addressed in more detail on August 27:
•Truck delivery schedules
•Traffic congestion/levels of service
