Police: St. Paul Park woman may face felony assault charge after punching EMT

A Cottage Grove EMT was punched while helping a patient in an ambulance, police said.
An EMT was treating a 45-year-old St. Paul Park woman while she was being transported to a St. Paul hospital on July 15 when the patient punched the female EMT in the face. The EMT suffered bruising to her face, according to the police report.
The St. Paul Park woman, whose name was not released pending an active investigation, could face a criminal charge of felony assault, police said.
