Frozen yogurt chain plans Cottage Grove location
Cherry Berry, a national frozen yogurt chain with locations in 19 states and 11 Minnesota cities, has said it will open a Cottage Grove franchise this year.
Fans of frozen yogurt in Cottage Grove will see their options for finding the treat double in coming months.
Cherry Berry, a national frozen yogurt chain with locations in 19 states and 11 Minnesota cities, has said it will open a Cottage Grove franchise this year in a retail space formerly occupied by ice cream chain Cold Stone Creamery, located at 7750 Harkness Ave. S.
Cottage Grove is one of 10 new Minnesota locations listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website. Currently, Cherry Berry’s nearest outpost is in Woodbury’s Tamarack Village shopping center.
City officials say the self-serve yogurt bar could be open in around 90 days. Danette Parr, the city’s economic development director, said the company had not yet requested a building permit from the planning department.
Earlier this year, Cottage Grove got its first frozen yogurt shop in Yo-Joe’s, located at 8711 East Point Douglas Road.
