Primary election absentee balloting under way beginning June 29

Voters will narrow the field of candidates in federal, state and county races in the primary. South Washington County voters have no local races on the primary ballot, though a primary is planned for the Washington County Board District 2 seat.
Absentee balloting begins June 29 and runs through Monday, Aug. 13.
Voters who have a valid reason for voting absentee may vote in person at any of the following Washington County Service Centers:
-- Woodbury Service Center, 2150 Radio Drive, Woodbury
-- Cottage Grove Service Center, 13000 Ravine Parkway, Cottage Grove
-- Government Center in Stillwater, 14949 62nd St. N., Stillwater
-- Headwaters Service Center, 1995 Forest Road N., Forest Lake
Absentee voting hours at the county service centers are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional hours for absentee balloting will be offered Saturday, Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Voters also may vote absentee by mail. Call 651-430-6175 to have an absentee ballot application mailed. Questions about the primary election, absentee voting or voter registration can be directed to Washington County at 651-430-6175.
