City of Afton's popular Fourth of July parade open to public

The Afton Fourth of July parade begins at noon Wednesday, July 4.

The Afton Fourth of July parade begins at noon Wednesday, July 4. It is free and open to all with the exception of politicians. Politicians must preregister and pay $50 per entry. Off-site parking and bus transportation to and from the parade route will be available at Lakeland Plaza Shopping Center, one mile south of the Highway 94 and County Road 18 exit, and Shepherd Lutheran Church, 14107 Hudson Road S. in Afton. The cost of a round trip is $2 per person.

Music and food will be available for visitors in Afton Town Square after the parade.

If you plan to walk in the parade, line up begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Afton Marina.
