Weather cooperates, activities go on at Cottage Grove's Strawberry Fest (w/video)

Rain mostly cleared out in time for the start of the Grande Day Parade Saturday morning and by afternoon the weather cleared and crowds flocked to Kingston Park for activities throughout the afternoon and evening.

Strawberry Fest revelers were treated to a Saturday with minimal storms and lots of activities at Cottage Grove’s annual festival.

Rain mostly cleared out in time for the start of the Grande Day Parade Saturday morning and by afternoon the weather cleared and crowds flocked to Kingston Park for activities throughout the afternoon and evening. Hundreds of people spread out across the park fields late Saturday for a fireworks display, sponsored by the Bulletin.

Strawberry Fest activities run through Sunday afternoon at Kingston Park. The Ambassador Coronation is Monday night.
