East Ridge junior Allen Swenson advanced to MSHSL state meet after finishing second in the pole vault by clearing 12 feet 11 inches at the Section 4AA championships.
East Ridge’s Allen Swenson vaulted himself to the next level last week.
The junior advanced to MSHSL state meet after finishing second in the pole vault by clearing 12 feet 11 inches at the Section 4AA championships. Swenson has been climbing the ladder all year. He began with a 10th-place finish of 11 feet at the All-American Invitational in March, then went on to place third at the Spartan Track and Field Invitational in April after clearing 12-6 and soared to a second-place finish at the recent Suburban East Conference championships, clearing 13-6.
