Cottage Grove names day in honor of injured police officer
Cottage Grove civic and public safety groups and the public gathered Sunday to honor and help Frank Mackall, a Cottage Grove resident and Savage, Minn., police officer who was seriously injured in a car crash while on duty in January.
Cottage Grove civic and public safety groups and the public gathered Sunday to honor and help Frank Mackall, a Cottage Grove resident and Savage, Minn., police officer who was seriously injured in a car crash while on duty in January.
A benefit at the VFW Red Barn raised money for Mackall’s family.
Mayor Myron Bailey proclaimed Sunday as “Officer Frank Mackall Day” in Cottage Grove. “We support one another in this community,” Bailey told him. “As an officer, it’s very important that we support you.”
