Park girls lacrosse: Morse named Ms. Goalie finalist

Oops, she did it again.
Park senior Allie Morse was named as a finalist for Ms. Goalie 2012 for the state of Minnesota.
Along with Bailey Dunning of The Blake School, Morse is one of two finalists for the award, which will be announced at the third-annual Mr. and Ms. Lacrosse awards at 12 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel in Saint Paul.
Morse, the Park Athena Award winner, was also one of 10 semifinalists for the 2012 Let’s Play Hockey Senior Goalie of the Year Award, presented to the top senior girls high school hockey goaltender in Minnesota.
On the year, Morse is 7-5 in 12 games played with 145 saves, a .587 save percentage and three shutouts.
Morse has committed to play Division I hockey for Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island next year.
The Mr. and Ms. Lacrosse awards are presented by the Minnesota Swarm. Teddy O’Reilly of No. 1-ranked Minnetonka and Simon Gondeck of two-time defending state champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s are among the seven finalists for the 2012 Mr. Lacrosse award. Meghan Bauer of two-time defending state champion and No. 1-ranked Blake and Christine Easton of No. 2 Eden Prairie are among the seven girls finalists for the 2012 Ms. Lacrosse award. Thomas Gilligan of Benilde-St. Margaret’s and Calder Sutton of Blake are the Mr. Goalie finalists.
