The Park baseball team will head into the postseason on a three-game losing streak after being shut out by Mounds View 2-0 on Wednesday and Cretin-Derham Hall 6-0 on Friday in the Wolfpack’s final two games of the regular season.

Park finished the regular season 4-16 overall and 4-14 in the Suburban East Conference.

In the loss to Mounds View, Park had six hits – two off the bat of Drew Flack, two from Curran Rooker and one each from Russell Damsgard and J.T. Bickel. Park senior pitcher Kyle Fritz certainly pitched well enough to win, but took the tough-luck loss, going six innings, allowing five hits and one earned run while striking out five.

Park also had six hits against Cretin-Derham Hall. Flack and Jake Carrigan each had two hits and Fritz and Rooker each had one hit. Four different pitchers threw for Park in the game with Nate Klika taking the loss.

Next, Park starts the postseason with the Section 3AAA tournament on May 25. The seedings are to be named on Tuesday.
