The East Ridge boys golf team ended up near the middle of the pack in a pair of Suburban East Conference tournaments last week.
To start the week East Ridge shot a 333 to take ninth place out of 10 teams at Midland Hills Golf Course in Roseville last Monday before earning seventh place with a 332 on Tuesday at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury.
At the par-72 Midland Hills, junior Brady Hanson led the way for East Ridge with a 79. Sophomore Jack Caron (83), sophomore Tyler McKeever (86) and senior Jaik Winbush (86) rounded out the Raptors’ top four.
Mounds View won the match with a 307. Hastings’ Matthew Radke and White Bear Lake’s Michael Pitcher shared medalist honors with matching rounds of 73.
Back at home at Prestwick, Winbush led the way for East Ridge with an 80. Junior Tom Tuohy (82), Hanson (84) and Caron (86) filled out the rest of the card for the Raptors.
Mounds View won the match with a 302.
On Monday, after the Bulletin went to press, East Ridge played in the Don Saatzar Invitational at Hastings Country Club in the morning, then headed to Stillwater Country Club in the afternoon for a conference match.
Next, the Raptors compete in aconference meet at River Oaks on Friday, May 18.
